Trigon can monitor precise vertical movements of foundations over any period and for any observational frequency. Subsidence caused by movements as small as 0.1mm can be detected using our specialist Leica precision equipment. We also monitor larger cracks both internally and externally.

Insurance companies, their loss adjusters and investigation engineers will frequently instruct monitoring to be carried out on suspect buildings under investigation for heave and subsidence. Level monitoring, in particular, is very effective in precisely pinpointing the affected area of a building for targeted remedial repairs, saving potentially costly work elsewhere.

Verticality surveys and monitoring

Trigon undertake stand-alone verticality surveys of buildings and other structures such as chimneys and towers using reflector-less electromagnetic distance (EDM) equipment.

If the effects of piling, tunneling or mining activity on a structure need to be measured and recorded for legal purposes, Trigon can provide ongoing verticality monitoring. Any associated crack monitoring can be added to the programme.
